The Gas Safe Register

 

 

The Gas Safe Register (formerly CORGI registered) On the 1st of April 2009, the CORGI Gas registration scheme was replaced in UK by the Gas Safe Register.

CORGI registered gas engineers have stood for safety, expertise and trust.

The Gas Safe Register body will continue to symbolise a commitment to the highest possible standards in gas appliance and installation work. At Central Scotland Heating, we are happy to adhere to the requirements of the Gas Safe Register.

A review carried out by the Health and Safety Executive led to the new gas registration scheme, which aims to provide a clearer focus on gas safety and a simpler registration procedure.

As a result, CORGI gas registration is now no longer recognised or valid by law in the UK.

Whilst CORGI continue to trade as a business, they are no longer the official stamp for Gas Safety in the UK.
